Man, was this a TOUGH drive! On the way to the Innisbrook resort, there was an accident at the end of Courtney Campbell that shut the entire bridge down. Nothing says “PANIC MODE” like sitting 2-3 hours on non-moving traffic.
Fun fact: The mid-90s E150 has one of the best engines Ford has made – the Straight 6.
Fun Fact #2: The ONLY downside to these engines is they don’t like to idle for more than an hour before overheating.
Fun Fact #3: Best way to cool down an overworked engine is to run the heater. Yes, we live in Florida.
Thank God the sea breeze was brisk and that the accident got cleared in time. Our staff, once we arrived, worked faster than ever before to get this huge Showstopper, Snap Yourself Silly! Photobooth, and uplights in 4 hours. Part of the sped-up process was in thanks to the amazing and helpful staff at Innisbrook!
However, it was all worth it! The students danced they moment they walked in and energy was through the roof! Check out the pics and video below!

4SchoolsOnly’s “We Survived the Apocalypse” 2013 Prom Tour is only growing bigger and bigger!
With 3 other proms on the same date, my crew and I trucked over to the Peabody Hotel for Seminole High School’s prom. This was a beautiful lighting setup, similar to last week’s, but we added a 20′ video screen for a massive visual impact. The energy was through the roof and (as usual) the students gave nothing but compliments!

Their vintage circus theme was carried out with our beautiful wall projections and interactive stilt-walkers!
Check out the pics and videos below.. including the school’s Harlem Shake and even one our staff did, too!

THIS is a school that knows how to party! Hosted at the ever-flexible Lake Buena Vista Palace, Winter Park High School brought in non-stop energy that almost tore the floor in half. They wanted amazing music and a beautiful light show to match– this is EXACTLY what they got. They enjoyed it so much the sponsor told us that for the first time in 6 years, no one complained about the music!

Check out the photos and video that Monica shot below– including the Harlem Shake!

Highlands Homes Christmas Party was put on by two ladies who were also at events I was the DJ at, so they knew I had to be the DJ for them– love these kinds of events! The party was hosted at the Brio Grill and we brought out some basic lighting and a photobooth from Snap Yourself Silly. The prize giveaway was fun– as I gave prizes away, I made up an impromptu story that entails how all the prizes were given out. It got quite a few laughs.

My friend Joette, with Party People Celebration, asked me to work with her to create a beautiful ambiance for the March of Dimes Fundraiser hosted at the Lakeland Center. There were two rooms: the dinner room and the meeting room for speeches and such. In the dinner room I provided music and got to enjoy a sampling of food from some of the finest and well-known restaurants the city has to offer.

In the meeting room, Joette did a stunning job decorating. We set up a couple of uplights on the walls, but all the attention went on stage. We uplit the drapes and spandex with the theme-color purple and used to bright white LED lights to flood the area where the speaker would be. The great thing about using our LED lights vs the house halogens is that the speaker wasn’t sweating a storm when he was up on the stage.

It looked great and we helped a great cause– we were glad to be a part of Joette’s team!
