Cypress Creek ALWAYS has more energy than I can handle at one time… I always get goosebumps. While our crew handled two other homecomings, (check out our Facebook page for info on those), I kept my focus on helping complete the avatar theme with uplights, laser “fireflies” and black lights! The club experience that they crave was brought together with two video screens, 40′ of truss OVER the dance floor, a FULL COLOR LASER LIGHT SHOW, and a photo booth.

Check out the pics and video below…. the energy was INTENSE!!!!

Melissa’s dad got our info after he saw the phenomenal job we did at Lake Minneola’s prom. For her party, we brought her a 6×8 screen where we did a slide show and music videos along with a custom video intro to fit her theme.
A custom GOBO with her name was projected on the floor and the room was transformed with our uplighting. On top of that, our totem setup created the total club ambience she wanted.

She invited all her friends from school, plenty of family, and of course we had a few crashers. Needless to say, she threw on a party that made her the talk of the school…. and we got to work with the amazing Tim Hicklin of Storybook Weddings.

Liz & Matt are an awesome couple! Like my wife and I, they both share a common job that allows them to talk industry jargon with each other– they’re both programmers! Matt also did a lot with live sound, so we got along quite well!

Their reception was at the Peggy Brown Building and I worked with a Dream Team! Diana with two of my favorite vendors and friends Tim Hicklin of Storybook Weddings, and Maggi with Piece of Cake By Maggi!
We mixed in lots of Latin favorites as Liz’s family is Hispanic and wanted a good mix of salsa, merengue, and bachata.

Gualter and Apolonia did something we don’t see often– have a LATE night wedding! The ceremony started at 8:30PM and the reception ended at 1AM!
The beachside ceremony at the Rusty Pelican was beautiful, and it was followed up by a GREAT reception that was highlighted by a tri-color uplighting surrounding the walls.

The family is Portuguese and Angolian, so I had a great combination of Salsa, Merengue, Kuduro, Semba, and Kizombas to play coupled with many American hits… overall, it was a blast!
Pics and video below! My wife, Monica, did a great job with these in between helping coordinate the day’s activities!

I tagged along with Charles Casiano to the Don Vicente in Ybor, Tampa, to get some video footage of him for our main site: My Dream Reception. He suggested a tag-team DJ combo which was a lot of fun!

The Don Vicente is a beautiful location that really shows the historic side of Ybor. Charles took care of handling the ceremony in the main room and set up a cocktail hour system downstairs. Rumors say this place is haunted and people see ghosts all the time… yeah, basement.. great idea.
(You can, without a shadow of a doubt, tell this place used to be a speakeasy.)
The reception room is diveded into dining and dancing areas, but sound easily went from one room to another. The Don Vicente has a VERY unique layout– if you want an unforgettable place for your wedding, this is a MUST SEE!
We adorned the dance hall area with LED flood lights and stars across the ceiling!
As usual, Charles rocked it Spanglish style mixing a bit of American and Latin music. Check out the pics and video below!
