David and Nancy are an awesome couple… they love Disney (well, they also work there), watch The Office, and adore “How I Met Your Mother.” Perfect, Barney Stinson could’ve co-hosted this wedding with me. On top of it all, they’re huge Glee fans. (You know, huge isn’t the word to describe it, so I’ll begin with dedicated.) This means that on top of a great sense of humor with creativity, they’re gonna have a very eclectic music taste.

Boy, did I profile this one right. The overall party was a blast, and I had a lot of fun with the HIMYM references! With Carlisha as their coordinator, they created very unique centerpieces portraying various Disney movies.
As usual, the Paradise Cove in Kissimmee was beautiful, and a blast to work in. After the photos of the wedding, you can see some shots of the place itself. Make sure to check out the video, too!

Schools
What an amazing school– they rocked the house again! I got a text from Mrs. Chacon, the sponsor who also put together their amazing homecoming dance. She wanted to create a Sadie Hawkins-style Valentine’s Dance for the school. This would be in no way the same sized crowd as homecoming, as there’d only be 100-150 students, but she wanted to create an unforgettable night!

The energy was through the roof as they danced to a lot of hip-hop/Latin mashups and lots of high energy dance and Euro numbers. The biggest request, Stereo Love, made everyone go insane!

I was told not to expect much dancing as Efrain and Altagracia (they call her Tita) were not big dancers. Hmm… bummer. A nice big crowd of an all Puerto Rican family and no dancing? That’s not how my events go!
Sure enough… things changed. Kyle and I were busy on both fronts. Kyle manned the SnapYourselfSilly Photobooth while I DJed an ever-growing dance floor! The monogram was boldly displayed in the front near the head table!
And Tita and Efrain? They danced ALL NIGHT!

See? Events are living, breathing things: you’ll NEVER know how they’ll wind up!

I do this school in Orlando/St. Cloud every year and they never cease to amaze me! What a great crowd! What makes this school a lil’ different is that there’s VERY LITTLE rap requested. We got lots of requests for techno, pop, some oldies, and any rap requested was faster stuff… none of that 70BPMS crap!
What made this school even better? 2000 Glowsticks were ordered. 2000!!!!! Check out some amazing video footage and photos below!
Package chosen: Video Explosion+, Uplights, Live Video, 2000 Glowstick Toss

Corporate
Florida Housing Coalition is one of my favorite corporate clients– I still remember the first party I did with Rue. It was an all-night celebration! This year was no different. Hosted at the Rosen Shingle Creek, I enjoyed seeing many familiar faces as well as being invited to enjoy Rosen’s A-grade food! Check out some amazing pics and video below!

When Greg & Melinda first met with me at our initial sales consult, I knew right away this would be an amazing wedding! She’s Puerto Rican whose family hails from Brooklyn, and Greg’s Jamaican, representin’ Queens. We kept in contact a lot recently through Facebook and I got to learn a lot about them… which helped me create some very exciting and unique introductions for them.
Fast forward to May 16th, Amanda and I are setting up at the beautiful Radisson Resort in Celebration (Kissimee), Florida. The monogram (which was designed by Melinda’s niece) looked beautiful on the dance floor. The draping white swags were glowing with color thanks to our LED floods perched gracefully on top of our BOSE sound system.

Outside, the sun finally hid and the rains stopped to create a slightly breezy, yet warm, warm atmosphere by the gazebo for their ceremony.
Watch the video for some cool clips. I’ve also attached some photos from my iPhone.
Some quick highlights:
- First dance, God Bless the Broken Road, was sung live by close friends. They were amazing!!!
- VERY custom introductions featuring a song for each couple!
- One of a kind monogram designed by family!
- Rumcake!!

Field trip for all of us! Kelly (MC) and myself (DJ) drove to the Leu Gardens with KC Enterprises Photography. Kevin and Jessica Hallmark were a unique couple who knew exactly what they wanted…. they were so busy they couldn’t give us a playlist of their favorite songs. It’s no big deal because we knew how to read the crowd… Kevin complimented us right away on the fact that we played all his favorite songs and not once did he have to request any one!
Karaoke was a big plus here as several of them sang unique songs: Manson, Bjork, Gin n Juice… you name it!
They also started the dance floor with the Time Warp and we did amount of swing music. I loved it! I’ve attached some photos below. I will post KC Enterprises’ blog later so you can check it out as well!
Oops, forgot to mention: the Leu gardens have little signs that identify each flower. Kelly took a photo of a sign and I Photoshopped it on the spot with Kevin & Jessica’s names. As guests walked in to see photos from the ceremony appear instantly on the big screen during the reception, they were surprised with the following graphic in between slide shows!

Sweet 16
Angel Gonzales held the ultimate Sweet 16 bash: New York style! This was a very fun crowd… they enjoyed rap, techno. latin, and reggae. Chevy worked with me tonight and he had as much fun as I did. The event was held at the Sheraton in Orlando.
Dinner was awesome! We zoomed in on people during dinner and “picked” on them… you could hear the oohs and haha’s throughout the room.
Two of the requested songs went GREAT together and created an awesome mashup: Beenie Man’s Sim Simma (Who am I) into Shabba Ranks w/Shakademus – Murder She Wrote.
The energy was through the roof. I went from Savage’s “Swing” to “A Milli” and the room erupted with a thunderous “OHHH!!!!!”
We kicked it up a notch with a GREAT rap/electro set turning several popular songs into hot electro/house sets.
Check out the photos below for more great pics!

Florida Housing Coalition has been our clients for years… and there’s a good reason: we rock the house every time! This year, they chose the beautiful Butler room at the Rosen. You may remember this room as this was one of the rooms used for the wedding for Douglas Gordon, producer of upcoming National Lampoon movie RoboDoc.
I love this crowd… they don’t all dance at the same time as they have varied tastes (it almost feels like a night club), but they don’t complain about the music at all and will try to dance to everything.
Reggae, Salsa/Merengue, Rap, and soul really hit the spot for them!
I cannot express what a BLAST I had! This really is one of my favorite annual events!
