Another high-energy school. The moment students walked in, they started dancing.. you gotta love crowds like this! They were especially excited at the new lights that were brought in, including the ever-awesome UFO fixture. (They saw this at prom last year and requested it by name!)

A special guest feature by one of their own, Sagar Mistry, 4SO’s newest crew member; AKA DJ Mistry!

Our first homecoming of the year, and it’s huge. We have another big dance at Seminole High School and another one at Sunlake.

You can bet where the stress level was with three equally large dances on the same date!

No worries, because all three went well.. but since this is MY blog, I’ll chat about MY dance. Ocoee High School did it big last year with Thrill da Playa of the 69 Boyz and this year was no exception. World-famous Cupid (Cupid Shuffle) came in to party with a surprise appearance from Eliseo of Orlando Superstar group, TREAL.

This year’s theme was Alice in Wonderland, and the school focused on making everything large… the tunnel that students walked in made them feel small, there was a giant chair from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on the corner, giant playing card guards surrounded the gym… and this was all made by the students and sponsor, Wendy. They did such an amazing job! I was impressed.

Our spotlight was used to enhance the “larger than life” aspect, but also lit up Cupid during his performance. We also had a projection of a Cheshire Cat that appeared and disappeared, and had animated eyes that followed the students as they walked in. It looked too cool!

The 2nd dance floor was closed due to the rain, but it’s OK because we all had a good time inside!

Parkway Middle is a longtime 4SO client, and every year is even more exciting! They host an end of the year dance for the 8th graders, and I swear it feels like a prom! The school goes out to decorate their cafeteria, students dress up in their best, and the energy is adrenaline-pumping!

This year, two students got on the mic to perform one of their favorite Pitbull songs. They were natural-born performers! Check out photos and video below!

This whole night was absolutely unpredictable: the setup, the rig itself, the student’s reaction, and the overall energy. I knew the night would be insane based on their homecoming dance, and the 4SO team really did a good job keeping up with them.

When we first met, they had LOTS of complaints about their previous DJ who just couldn’t put their vision to reality. They wanted a REAL music experience with a light show that can keep up; they had video screens in the past, but none like what we brought out: a 22′ WIDE VIDEO SCREEN!

Black lights, glow in the dark bubbles, a beautiful projected moon, dry ice clouds, and a starry night sky pulled their fairytale theme together. Our Snap Yourself Silly Photobooth was also a HUGE hit!

Another high-energy prom under the books! The 4 Points Sheraton Chateau Elan looked absolutely beautiful thanks to the work of Mrs. McGovern. Kaerdi used her theatrical experience to transform this Sebring hotel into a Wonderland adventure for the students. Our lighting and uplighting complete the look for a total venue transformation!

Even though Sebring High is a smaller school, their energy was through the roof. Check out the video summary as well as the photos!

Oakridge High is one of our many loyal schools. We have been doing their proms for years and have grown together to create a better dance each year. Tonight’s light show was one of my faves! Armed with several new lights and a small room with lots of haze, these lights create an amazing symphony of color and beams. Shoutouts to American DJ for creating these amazing lights!

Since this is a smaller school, who wanted a Showstopper look taken to a more affordable level, we did a scaled down level: Two 7′ video screens and a smaller span of truss created the perfect look for them.

Wow! This school may have more collective energy than my crew and I– we were drenched in sweat and worn out! Our third year there showed to be a good one before the night even started: ticket sales were higher than last years (sold out in terms of projected ticket sales); students were asking if we were back this year, and the place was PACKED the moment they walked in.

Their theme was Central Park After Dark (the Mac geek in me lit up at the name After Dark), and the theme was pulled together nicely thanks to the blue simulated skylights built into Disney’s Dolphin Hotel; a New York City skyline complemented by our BEAUTIFUL Moon gobo, and photos of various NYC scenes shown on our giant 14′ video screens. Black lighting really pulled the “After Dark” club-effect the students wanted. To top it off, the entire ballroom was wrapped with a beautiful combination of blue and white uplighting while stars cascaded across the entire ceiling.

As usual, the energy was through the roof and even the administration danced with us on stage…. overall, it was a blast! Check out the amazing photos as well as a time-lapse and summary video. Lots to  see!

I love this school! Last year held high expectations for this one, and they didn’t disappoint! Likewise, I’m already getting letters about how much they loved us!

We were at the Osceola Room at the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, FL. I can tell you now from firsthand experience that the Gaylord staff does everything imaginable not only to create a stress-free experience for their clients, but they also make sure vendors are treated well. They did EVERYTHING they could to make our experience and setup a smooth one! If you need a venue, check them out and ask for Pamela Becker; she’s the best!

You see, what makes 4SchoolsOnly so great is that we have packages in all sorts of budgets. Lake Region wanted an affordable prom DJ that was local to the Winer Haven/Lakeland area and that would still rock the house. They wanted to keep grinding down and have a wide array of music to please their large demographics of students.

We performed for Lake Region 6 years ago; that was my first prom ever…. boy, it felt good to be back! Check the awesome photos and video below. The décor, done by the students, was AMAZING! I was surprised by the hard work they put in!

Before I kick off prom season, I had a GREAT time jammin’ out with Florida Southern’s Kappa Delta chapter; the sorority hosted their “Emerald Affair” formal night at the (awesome) Cleveland Heights Golf and Country Club. As usual, CH’s food was fantastic. If you’re in the Lakeland area, stop by for their delicious Sunday Brunch!

Kappa Delta got our basic Premier Package, but seeing as how I attended FSC, I had to do this event. Armed with loud sound (being used for the next day’s prom) and a 4Bar basic light show– I set up and rocked the night away! Josh was in the room behind me with our Snap Yourself SIlly Photobooth.
