Oh yes, put together a group that’s responsible for selling tickets and such for the amazing Blue Man Group (Universal Studios Orlando), and give them two microphones, a HUGE karaoke library, and tell them to GO WILD… and we have zaniness.
The room (multipurpose, blackbox-style room) was already equipped with lighting, so all I needed to do was roll in my system and add karaoke; ’twas an instant party-in-a-box! We had some great singers and also a few fun ones (with one of my best friends who works there, Amanda, getting her G on, and speaking of G, we had Gino and Derek also get crunk on the mic).
No dancing, just karaoke… it was an odd change of pace from my typical parties, but it was by far the best Karaoke group ever! The best part is I got to relax and socialize with the group and even had a great conversation with Zacharia on the overall acceptance of low standards in today’s society. Hmmm.. haha Photos and videos below (Of the event, not the low standards)!
Another great group! I was warned ahead of time that I shouldn’t expect a big dancing crowd, but amongst the 45 guests, 30+ danced a good bit of the night. I love working at any of the Embassy Suites in Orlando, this one being near the airport; their service is top-notch, but what else do you expect from a Hilton property hotel?
Another small dance group, but they were a lot of fun; as you can tell, they danced non-stop! The location was the Omni Resort in Championsgate, Florida. This hotel ALWAYS does a great job making every vendor feel important and doing ANYTHING possible to help out with the event. Combine that with an amazing front of house service and some of the BEST food in Orlando and you have a top-notch venue for events.
The group requested all kinds of music, but responded the most to southern crunk, snap, and booty music.
Simply put, I had a blast! Check out the photos and video below. You’ll see a rotating projected logo, basic lighting, and karaoke!
In the third year working for Dundee Elementary; it was once again held at the Admiral’s Inn and as usual the food and service was fantastic.
They’re not a big dancing group, but they danced quite a bit this year. As usual, they requested a large array of songs that crossed many genres and generations. Check out the photos and video below!
Julie was not only the client, but she was the coordinator. She owns a styling company called Chick & Fabulous Designs & Events; she put together an amazing display at the A La Carte Pavillion. While A La Carte handled uplighting, she chose to go to us for the snowflake projections. The low ceilings presented a challenge, as the bright lights could blind someone, but we managed to get the look she wanted without compromising safety.
Not a lot of video footage since I worked solo… but you’ll see that the kids loved dancing NON-STOP!
The ARC foundation caters to adults with mental disabilities.
I love doing parties for these kinds of organizations.. they’re the nicest people and dance to EVERYTHING you play. Lots of high-energy songs were played, and about 1-2 minutes of each to keep their interest piqued. Along with an amazing sound system, we also brought uplights to complement their fall theme, projected their logo onto the wall (We use REAL Source-4 projectors and not LEDs), and also provided a Snap Yourself Silly Photobooth.
Check out the amazing photos and video below! Christina and I had such a blast!
We are all about partying and having a great time, but sometimes, we provide serious sound for serious application. Adam Putnam won a landslide victory for Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture. We provided crystal-clear sound, that was also hidden to keep the view clean for the many news network crews. We also lit up the stage area while paying attention to avoiding hot spots and shadows.
Oh yeah, and it was raining, so we set this all up within minutes!
I got the opportunity to entertain at another charity auction at Eaglebrooke. This was for St. Joseph’s and their theme was Havana Nights. Ohmygoodness, let me tell you how AMAZING the food was: arros con pollo (which the Tico in me made into Gallo Pinto thanks to ample amounts of onion and butter), pork, plantains del orno, and a superb tres leches to top it off.
Sure, Tres Leches is from Nicaragua (not according to Nestle, haha)… but every Hispanic country serves it nowadays.
It was a small dancing crowd of about 15-20, but they danced all night!
Just in case you forgot– we have an entire sector of our company that handles all A/V Productions: Rentals, set-up, engineering, etc.
AT&T Hired us to help pull together their high-energy basketball theme for their presentation to Best Buy Mobile’s managers from around the nation. AT&T’s upbeat presentation was a huge change of pace from the other carrier’s “stuffy business” presentations.
…and I got to hang out with triple NBA championship winner John Salley.
